There is this common misconception that everyone who goes into music has to be some kind of virtuoso artist and performer. This isn't true! The music industry has branched out in all directions-- music has merged with technology, science, psychology, to create more opportunities than ever before. For instance, have you ever heard of Ethnomusicology? Music Therapy? These are just a couple of the many career options music offers outside of performing. If you truly have a passion for music, there is no reason not to make it part of your life. So what if you aren't the best singer/player? You may have a knack for something else you didn't know about! Take this book for instance:
 If a neuroscientist can find a way to devote his life to music, so can you, in any way you choose to. It's just a matter of understanding the capabilities of music. Music truly is a universal language, spanning the whole world, resonating with every culture, even with other species!
