I am going to make it as a musician!

Since I was a kid, I admired people who were in any way related to the world of music. It would be fair to say that not only would I admire them, but truthfully speaking I was quite envious of the entire lot. My family had no connection with music and I knew that if I showed interest or inclination towards that side, I would be snubbed and ridiculed.

However, I had a firm belief that one day I would learn to play an instrument of my choice and would excel at it. As time went by, I turned into an ace student and my grades were awesome. Finally, I graduated from college and now I work full time for a pharmaceutical company. They actually pay me pretty well and it's a great job.

The biggest plus point is that I get time for myself so I have started to pursue my childhood dream. Like I mentioned, I had vowed to become a musician and no barriers of time, age or money could change my mind.

Last month I enrolled myself into one of the best music schools in the state and am now taking piano classes regularly. Although, most students present there are much younger than me, the level of enthusiasm is the same. I have already learnt a lot in this month and I have enjoyed each minute of it thoroughly.

If you have ever had the opportunity to read about musicians, you would know that they live in a world of their own. Becoming a musician, and a good one at that, is an uphill task and not everyone is cut out for that kind of hard work. It requires endless hours of practice, a disciplined way of living and firm determination.

I have all those things and in addition to that, I also have a deep love for music. My passion is my driving strength and I believe that true dedication and passion are the keys to success, no matter what the field is.

I want to take up music as a career and way of living and my plans are to resign from work in the next year or so. Becoming a successful musician is my dream and I am certain that I will achieve it soon.
